We say goodbye to Daniel Basilewski
After 22 loyal years with the world market leader for specialty malts, we now said goodbye to our long-time employee Daniel Basilewski who entered his well-deserved retirement.
After initially strengthening the shipping team when joining our family business, his job relocated with the construction of our Weyermann® Logistics Center. As the “warehouse sheriff” there, Daniel Basilewski knew exactly where everything was stacked, and which loadings were taking place at any time. With the opening of our Loading and Shipping Hub on Bamberg’s Böttgerstrasse in 2018, his workplace changed again. There he enjoyed a wide range of tasks. In addition to picking full and mixed pallets, Daniel Basilewski’s tasks also include loading trucks. He also provided the appropriate shipping documents.
Daniel Basilewski was always a popular employee and colleague in our family malthouse. He was characterized by his reliable way of working and his motivated nature – an absolute asset to our company.
In addition to a photo album filled with beautiful memories from 22 years at Weyermann® Malt and a voucher for our shop Weyermann® Drinking & Living, Daniel Basilewski, who has roots in Kazakhstan, received a particularly nice farewell gift from the Ukrainian/Russian community at Weyermann®: they prepared “Borscht” – a soup common in Eastern Europe and Northern Asia. Daniel Basilewski enjoyed this as part of his farewell with the Weyermann® management and general management as well as other managers and employees.
As a proud grandfather, Daniel Basilewski will now certainly dedicate his time entirely to the family and his garden, which he lovingly tends.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Daniel Basilewski once again for his many years of loyalty to Weyermann® Malts and wish him a happy and peaceful retirement!
