We say goodbye to Michael Bachmann
After six and a half years, we say goodbye to our employee Michael Bachmann.
Michael Bachmann had been a member of our red and yellow Weyermann® family since August 2017 and worked at our plant in Clingen, Thuringia.
He initially served as a trainee in the malthouse before, thanks to his commitment and ambition, he was promoted to team leader of the malt production on-site.
He will have precious memories of his time at Weyermann® and look back on it fondly. As he said goodbye, he shared the following words with us that touched our hearts:
“After 6.5 years, it’s time for me to move on […] because my family life has moved too far away from the company premises with 2.5 hours of travel time per day. I’m leaving with tears in my eyes, as I‘ve come to really appreciate the team in Clingen and the employees in Bamberg, Hassfurt and Leesau, whom are of a particularly kind nature. I really enjoyed my job and always liked coming to work. Together we have achieved and created a lot. I was allowed to develop and demonstrate my skills; continually expand my skills and competencies. During this time I also achieved a lot in my private life: I got married and became a dad, I also had sporting events with Weyermann® tea, and trained myself to the point that I rode my racing bike from Clingen to Bamberg in one day and completed an Ironman distance triathlon. All of this was possible, because the employer provided the best support. I will remain loyal to the industry and will definitely process one or two bags of specialty malts from Weyermann®! I would like to thank all of the Weyermann® employees for the time together.”
Dear Michael, we thank you for all the good things you have brought into our red and yellow world and wish you all the best for your future journey! See you soon and best regards!
