The Bamberger Hofbräu® Exquisator wins silver at the Brussels Beer Challenge 2020
Wonderful news from Brussels: The Bamberger Hofbräu® Exquisator wins the silver medal in the category “German Dunkel” at the Brussels Beer Challenge 2020.
The Bamberger Hofbräu® Exquisator presents itself in a dark chestnut brown. The Doppelbock develops a light malt sweetness with delightful aromas of nuts and dried fruit. In particular, the malts from the historic Barke® barley variety give the winning beer its remarkable flavor.
The beer is brewed in the Weyermann® brew manufacture according to the traditional recipe of the Bamberger Hofbräu® Brewery. Here, the brand was revitalized in 2006. Since then, seven styles are made again in Bamberg – craft brewed at Weyermann®.
The Brussels Beer Challenge is an internationally renowned beer competition. In the annual competition, beers are divided into eight styles and a total of 60 categories. Gold, silver and bronze medals are awarded for each category. 1,500 beers from 36 countries were tasted this year. This was done by an international jury of experts.
We are happy about the earned success of our master brewer Constantin Förtner and his team! We also congratulate all our customers, who are among the winners as well.
