From Vision to Global Brand: Weyermann® Celebrates 145th Company Anniversary
Sabine Weyermann, Weyermann® Managing Partner 4th generation, opened the anniversary celebration on October 2nd, 2024, with an imaginary letter from company founder Johann Baptist Weyermann to the Weyermann® staff on the occasion of the 145th anniversary of the Bamberg specialty malt factory.
This festive evening for Weyermann® employees, retirees, and shareholders took place at the invitation of the Weyermann® management in the Hegelsaal of the Concert and Congress Hall in Bamberg.
In his letter, Johann Baptist Weyermann reviewed his life’s work – starting with the company’s founding story with modest beginnings and the realization of his vision of a city infront of the city, up to the company’s current position in the global market. Johann Baptist Weyermann placed particular emphasis on the family structures and underlined the importance of reliable partnerships and teamwork, which have always been the cornerstones of the company’s success.
After the insight into the ambitious and visionary life of the company founder, Sabine Weyermann thanked the employees on behalf of the shareholders and management for their daily commitment and good cooperation. She looked forward to continuing to lead the model company into a successful future with united forces, guided by mindful and appreciative interaction.
As a special surprise, each employee received a 0.5-liter bottle of Weyermann® Doppelkorn (grain schnapps), exclusively produced for the 145th anniversary of Weyermann® Malt. The premium spirit bears the name Johann Baptist Doppelkorn in honor of the company founder.
While the rich buffet invited guests to feast, magician Claudio Gnann provided magical moments with entertaining and refreshing close-up magic. Musically, the evening was accompanied by “Berni & Konsorten,” who kept the company dancing on the floor until late in the evening.
The highlight of the evening was the performance of the Weyermann® Choir, who had rewritten a song for the occasion and proudly performed it. The well-known sea shanty “Wellerman” by Nathan Evans was turned into “Weyermann®” – a homage to the 145-year success story of the malt factory.
Heartfelt thanks go to the Weyermann® management for the invitation to this wonderful and successful evening, to all creative and helping hands from all departments who designed this anniversary evening so beautifully for the whole team, to Partyservice Ludwig from Burgebrach for the fantastic catering, to Weyermann® Craft Baker Friedrich Rauh for the delicious pastry snacks, to Blumenstudio am Maxplatz for the beautiful flower decorations, and to Berni & Konsorten for the musical entertainment.
We look forward to many more years of continuing to write the success story of Weyermann® Malt together!
