Hop Tour & Brewing Seminar, Žalec, Slovenia

We are delighted with the many beautiful pictures that our Weyermann® Malting & Brewing Expert Axel Jany shared with us from his trip to Slovenia.

There, he participated in the 1st Hop Tour including a Brewing Seminar organized by our Weyermann® distribution partner in Slovenia, Hmezad Exim d.d.

The Hop Tour led participants through the hop gardens, where they could experience the bustling activity surrounding the harvest firsthand. The Hmezad Exim d.d. team provided the international group of participants with fascinating insights into their hop processing, development of new hop varieties, the use of Slovenian hops in various beer styles, and much more.

As part of the brewing seminar, Axel Jany shared his expertise through a presentation on “Brewing Lager with Weyermann® Heirloom & Terroir Malts“.

Brewery tours, beer tastings at the beer fountain in the center of Žalec, live music, and delicacies from the local cuisine wonderfully rounded off the event.
