Weyermann® Double Cask Single Malt Whisky Release

Yesterday, after a long wait, the time had finally come: we celebrated the release of the Weyermann® Double Cask Single Malt Whisky!

For six years, our single malt whisky aged to perfection in a European oak cask and a sherry cask in the Weyermann® Barrelroom.

In the nose, the six-year-old, high-proof specialty made from selected Weyermann® specialty malts convinces with notes of cocoa and ripe banana. The pronounced cocoa aroma wonderfully comes through on the palate, which is lovingly caressed by notes of orange.

Right on time for the release at 10:00 a.m., the first customers came to our Weyermann® shop Living & Drinking in order to get hold of a bottle of the limited spirit. The first customer of the day – a lady from the Bamberg district – happily told us that she eagerly awaits the Weyermann® whisky release every year and always gives her husband, a whisky lover, a bottle of the latest Weyermann® whisky creation for Christmas.

Our Weyermann® Master Distiller and head behind this wonderful composition, Philipp Schwarz, and our boss Thomas Kraus-Weyermann accompanied the successful release as they did in the previous years. Together they took plenty of time to explain the variety of Weyermann® spirits to whisky lovers, regular customers and Christmas shoppers.

In addition to the lasted nobel spirit, the beautiful decoration, which Ulrike Buhrmann, Marketing & Guest Relations, lovingly prepared together with the shop team, also proved to be a real eye-catcher.
