Brewmaster Camp 2024, Obertrum, Austria

“Wonderful colleagues, interesting conversations, creative ideas and delicious beers” – with these words Ulrich Ferstl, Weyermann® team leader direct customers and food, describes the Brewmaster Camp 2024, in which he took part as an ambassador of our Bamberg specialty malts factory.

Organized by Axel Kiesbye, owner of the Kiesbye Academy in Obertrum, Austria, the Brewmaster Camp took place for the 6th time at the Stiegl-Gut Wildshut in Austria. As a “workation,” it represents a unique concept of learning and relaxation.

As part of the event, brewing enthusiasts came together to brew beer with renowned master brewers from the international brewing scene, receive practical tips and tricks on global brewing technology and expand their beer horizons through accompanying scientific workshops and seminars. The beer estate itself and the Obertrumer Lake offered the participants the perfect setting to relax in an idyllic atmosphere.

Ulrich Ferstl had the honor of sharing his expertise with the brewing enthusiasts through a lecture and spoke about the sensory properties of various Pilsner malts.
