An evening full of tradition, innovation and enjoyment: The Weyermann® Bavarian Party 2024
On November 30, 2024, Weyermann® Specialty Malts opened its doors at Brennerstrasse 15 for the legendary Bavarian Party. The celebration marked the end of a successful week at the BrauBeviale trade fair in Nuremberg. This year’s event was dedicated to the company’s 145th anniversary and attracted 360 guests from 34 nations to the picturesque setting of the Bamberg specialty malt factory.
A warm welcome
From 4 pm, the international guests streamed onto the festively decorated Weyermann® premises. Past musicians and a stilt walker, the guests made their way into the ballroom.
The management around Sabine Weyermann, Thomas Kraus-Weyermann and Franziska Weyermann personally greeted every single guest – a sign of appreciation that perfectly reflected the family atmosphere of the company.
The anticipation of a special evening was palpable, and the warm welcome immediately created a welcoming atmosphere.
Culinary highlights
The culinary delights left nothing to be desired. The delicious Weyermann® beer specialties were served at four different locations. One of these was the newly opened Brewers Lounge, where beer tastings including “food pairing” took place under the guidance of our Weyermann® beer sommeliers. The historic ballroom invited visitors to take a leisurely break with aromatic coffee and freshly baked cakes. The courtyard smelled temptingly of ox on a spit, which was served with hearty potato and coleslaw and fresh Weyermann® beer bread, and the original Italian pizzas from the Weyermann® oven were particularly popular. A stand with grilled sausages, pan-fried champignons and Kaiserschmarrn pancakes rounded off the offer.
Fascinating insights
The guests were given exclusive insights into the world of malt. The newly inaugurated Weyermann® Caramel Malt Cathedral opened its doors and impressed with its architecture and the diverse possibilities of malt production. In the Weyermann® logistics center, visitors were able to experience an impressive demonstration of the bagging and bag palletizing system, while the Weyermann® Technikum offered tours of the brewery. Here, guests had the opportunity to watch craft baker Friedrich Rauh “show baking” and be inspired by the art of brewing beer.
In the Weyermann® Museum, company historian Christian Kestel gave visitors an impressive tour of 145 years of company history. His stories and detailed insights into the development of the traditional company inspired the guests and conveyed a deep understanding of the importance of Weyermann® in the malt industry.
Tradition meets modernity
A varied entertainment program provided amazement and enthusiasm for the guests. The Schuhplattler club from the Bavarian Forest presented traditional dances that captivated the audience with their energy. Calligrapher Melina Müller and cooper Anton Hofmann demonstrated old craftsmanship, while historical film screenings in the outdoor area brought the company’s history to life. A PhotoBox in the foyer captured the best moments and was great fun for young and old alike.
Musical enjoyment
The background music for the evening was provided by the bands “Dixie To Go”, “Ausgefuxxt” and “VerBRASSd”, whose rousing sounds created an exuberant atmosphere well into the late hours of the evening. The combination of music, dancing and good food created a festive atmosphere in which all guests felt at their ease.
Highlight of the evening
At 7 pm, all the guests gathered in the historic ballroom from 1929.
Sabine Weyermann addressed the guests: “Without you, our history would not be what it is today. Thanks to your trust in our quality and in the strategy of bridge building, we have been able to write 145 years of successful company history together.”
These words underlined not only the success of the company, but also the trust and partnership that has grown over the years.
The Weyermann® Bavarian Party 2024 was more than just a celebration – it was a living testimony to the combination of tradition and innovation that has characterized the company for almost a century and a half.
Looking to the future and deeply rooted in the past, Weyermann® showed once again why it belongs at the top of the world.
