Weyermann® brew manufacture shines again at the World Beer Awards 2024
World champion again: the Weyermann® brew manufacture continues its impressive series of successes at international beer competitions. At the prestigious World Beer Awards 2024, two beer specialties from our Weyermann® brew manufacture won bronze medals. This is now the ninth award in a row for our brewery at the international beer competition.
Double bronze success for Weyermann® creations
Our smoked beer classic, Weyermann® No. 1 Schlotfegerla®, a full-bodied dark smoked beer with fine beechwood smoky notes and aromas of espresso, convinced the international jury. This characterful beer is characterized by a distinctive malt flavor of dark chocolate and bread crust. The Weyermann® No. 23 Red Brick Lager was also awarded bronze. This full-bodied beer impresses with its delicate bouquet of caramel, honey and cotton candy, which is created by the unique hot brick brewing method. With its robust white foam and the perfect balance between malty sweetness and fruity hop notes of pear and peach, it underlines the diversity of the Weyermann® range.

World Beer Awards: Prestigious competition honors the art of brewing
The World Beer Awards are a major competition that annually honors the best beers from all over the world. An international jury consisting of experienced brewers and beer experts evaluates the beers submitted in a blind tasting. The awards are given in gold, silver and bronze, with the best beers in over 100 categories being honored. This competition has established itself as one of the most important platforms for honoring the quality and creativity of brewing worldwide.
The awards at the World Beer Awards 2024 are part of an impressive series of successes. The Weyermann® brew manufacture recently celebrated a triple triumph at the Finest Beer Selection 2024, where the Weyermann® No. 1 Schlotfegerla® was honored for the second time in a row.
